Public Consultation Day: Held on March 21, 2026, As Part of the Second Workshop

Date : July 15, 2026

Test Planning is built on an open process, where dialogue, co-creation, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge exchange are central. Participation is one of its core principles.

On March 21, 2026, residents and other stakeholders had the chance to join a participatory event — a public consultation on possible development scenarios for the northern part of the city, held at School No. 97 on 18 I. Mykolaichuka Street.

Around 200 people took part in the discussion, including local residents, people who work in or regularly use the area’s infrastructure, as well as representatives of NGOs, businesses, city council members, and other interested parties.

The event took the form of an open exhibition, where five interdisciplinary teams presented their proposals for North Lviv’s development. Residents and other visitors could explore the test planning process and each team’s work in detail, and had the opportunity to talk directly with team representatives about their proposed approaches to developing the area.

Participants were given comment forms where they could share their thoughts — on the process overall or on any team’s vision specifically. All feedback and suggestions will be recorded, reviewed, and passed on to the project teams and the Advisory Council, who will decide how it can inform further work. To keep the process transparent, a summary report of all submitted comments will be published on the website.

A consultation group is also involved at key stages of the process, helping bring in a broader range of local knowledge, interests, and perspectives from different communities and institutions. You can learn more about the consultation group here: Get Involved.

After the event, the Advisory Council gave each team recommendations for further developing their scenarios.

It’s worth noting that the test planning process isn’t about approving final projects. The teams are exploring different development scenarios to help assess the area’s potential and possible approaches to its transformation.

Following the second workshop and the public consultation, the teams will continue refining their proposals. The finalized concepts will be presented publicly at the Lviv Urban Forum in summer 2026.

Based on the teams’ work and experts’ recommendations, the next stages will produce a unified spatial concept for the area’s development. This will form the basis for further work on urban planning documentation, which will also include further opportunities for public participation.

More on the event is available on the Lviv City Council website, in the article “What Will North Lviv Look Like: Architects Discuss Five Development Scenarios with Residents (video)”.
